Mono Monday…

At a pinch I thought I could use this Japanese Anemone for today’s Mono Monday blip - with thanks to Laurie54 for setting this theme and hosting the challenge..



Thank you for the comments, stars and special heart for yesterday’s ‘fisherman’ and gulls. It was even windier today and too unpleasant to enjoy a swim!

Pigeon Valley Fire, Tasman/Nelson, NZ
- Residents from the township of Wakefield were allowed to return home late this afternoon, subject to them being prepared to evacuate if conditions change.
- The fire danger is not over yet. Hot spots are still only about 2 km from Wakefield, but within the control area. Fire fighters concentrated on this area today in favourable weather conditions.
- A Fire and Emergency NZ fire controller told residents that the wildfire was not contained yet and that it would take weeks to get it under control.
- No significant rain expected for at least another two weeks.
