Early Morning Light on Turkey Feathers

Dear Diary,

Tootsie often comes alone early in the morning to see what's on offer at the back porch diner.  Tillie and the rest will come later in the day but Tootsie is always the first.  The sun does wonderful things to wild turkey feathers.  The other day she left me one, perhaps as a tip for service.  When I was teaching I often had breakfast at a local diner.  I too was an "early bird", often getting there before 6am.  I still rise early.  I love the morning light.
