Hannukah

Ethan's grandparents came over to have dinner today. Emily made latkas, a salad (with artichoke hearts! Best surprise ever.), BBQ chicken, yellow rice, applesauce, squash with brown sugar and cinnamon. It was amazing. Especially the latkas. We ate all of them. We exchanged small gifts and lit the candles for the second night of Hannukah.

Me: Aren't they supposed to burn all 8 nights?
Ethan: No, they only did that the first time. That's how Hannukah started.
Me: They should burn all 8 nights.
Ethan: It was a miracle. Can't have a miracle in every household.
Me: I DEMAND A MIRACLE.
