Haunted House

Rumour has it that this cellar is haunted.  it is certainly a confined space but I had no qualms, though, about going in, especially with the dog for company.  Also, it's hard to feel anything spooky with helicopters buzzing loudly overhead.  We were visiting Moreton Corbet Hall & Castle - a ruined shell of an Elizabethan mansion near Shrewsbury.  It was a beautiful sunny day and, being close to an air base, the area was subjected to a great deal of noise emanating from helicopter pilots in training.  This place I can now tick off from my book of 'Wild Ruins' along with Haughmond Abbey and White Ladies Priory which we also visited.  Los of exciting places to see in this area but the others will have to wait for another occasion.

Our Motohome is parked on a site close to Kidderminster and have just been out to a local pub to meet good friends Hildasrose and SHH for a meal and catch up; they are off on holiday soon to Tanzania which all sounds very exciting.

Tomorrow we head home but it has been a very pleasant break and good to extend our weekend by a coup of days to see a few more places.
