More of the same
Brexit is messing up my life. Getting further and further behind on Blips and getting out for walks too late & too little.
Today another late walk and the photos a really horrible blue in the snow. Today's photo was taken at 17:50 and sunset was at 17:30.
Was nice to do this particular walk again as I don#t think have done it since Flash died back in August. Was one of our "wind protected" walks through the forest. The photo was taken at the place I park which overlooks a friends house where she has a horse stable and specialises in therapeutic (physical & mental) riding for children. Sadly we don't have the very organised UK Riding for the Disabled system (Princess Anne?)
Last night (Friday over to Saturday) in my night owl mode and sick of Brexit, watched CNN, for me generally interesting, trio of I think hourly political shows presented by Anderson, Cuomo and Lemon. As they hand over to one another, they usually have a short chat.
Cuomo had ended his show by reciting the final words of a US Congressman who had just died, four years after retiring from 59 years service as a congressman. He dictated the words to his wife. All of it was very sobering and the point that stuck most was him saying: "politicians don't have power, they HOLD power for the voters who elected them".
But just as much, the exchange that then followed to the black Don Lemon and they took up the theme and moved it along to why people voted in the way they did. Naturally, they are talking about USA and Trump (who they will one day get). The thought was people didn't vote for Trump because of economics which was healthy, they voted in part simply for the simple sake of change but mainly for fear of losing their (white) status and culture. I suspect you could draw some Brexit parallels.
Anyway it's a lot warmer and the snow is melting, storm on the way Sunday and then snow agin Monday/Tuesday before it gets warmER again.
