At the same time that our governor was announcing his next great idea

SALEM, Ore. -- Governor John Kitzhaber has called for the Legislature to convene for a special session Friday after announcing that Beaverton-based Nike, Inc. is considering expanding its operations in Oregon, but wants assurances that the state's tax code will not change.

These school kids were filing in to sing Christmas carols in the halls of the legislature. As far as I can tell, every weekday between Thanksgiving and Christmas choir after choir troop in and sing very nicely. Let's hope they have a little civilizing influence on the few legislators that might be hanging around. I will definitely come over on Friday and see if they have any effect on this giveaway strategy. Apparently, the Gov does not read the NY times, Tax holidays exact big price.

The irony is that school funding for choir is threatened whenver we give away our taxing ability over mulitnational corporations. Just do it.
