Droning on

I had thought this might be a gadfly but it turns out it's a male drone fly - fascinating the things you learn through blip. There were a few of them hanging around a hebe (shrub) at work. I had seen the movement around the hebe and went and got my camera assuming that I would be photographing bees.

The countdown has begun to the end of the school year. Our final prize-giving is on Friday morning but I taught my last class for the year today (just the way the timetable has worked out).

I do have an uninterrupted month's worth of work to do between now and when our students start back at the beginning of February but I'll worry about that next week!
