Woodland colour

Took Vanessa and Daniel in to Alnwick this morning, and dropped them off at Barter Books - time to browse around the shop before catching the first bus on their journey back to Birmingham. On Thursday they'll fly back to Australia.

MrM and I continued on to the DIY store, the tile shop (where we bought some samples for the fire surround), and also did a supermarket shop before driving home. On the way we stopped briefly and walked a very short way in to some woodland. Love the effect of the sunlight on these cones.

After yet another trip to the tip it was time to start tackling the enormous mountain of washing, a huge amount of much-needed cleaning (dust, dust and more dust - where it's all coming from now is a mystery!) and some long-overdue admin. It may take a week or two...
