Frost

It fell to my lot today to record the weather. I've told you about it before. I spotted frost on the Stevenson Screen roof and spent some time photographing it. However, when I went to record the deep soil temperatures I saw this frost, which had built up on a nut (no not me!) holding the roof on. Several attempts later I ended up with this photograph. I think that you can see the way the water has frozen into the form of a crystal. It has more than a hint of the snowflake about it.
