Something useful

Day 2 of the mini challenge. I could have chosen so many things, but settled on this trusty store-cupboard ingredient. If it's lacking in flavour, stick in a load of garlic.

I remember once, many years ago, we were having dinner with friends, and they served a bulb of roasted garlic for starters and brussel sprouts with bacon and garlic as part of the main course. The following day, Mr A and myself were due to have our bans read at church (it was about 4 weeks before we married), and we were required to attend the Sunday service. Needless to say, we were not very popular with the congregation :-)
