On a (very slow) Rolle.
This is the ongoing restoration works for The Rolle Quay canal. Started without parliamentary consent (later granted) by Lord Rolle in 1823, the canal helped transport lime from the nearby kilns. The canal was closed in 1871 and since the 1980's historical renovation has been carried out, partly with volunteer help. It makes repainting the Forth rail bridge seem like a quick job!
I was quite pleased with the pylons adding to the infrastructure theme as I'd never noticed them before.
Thanks very much to Steveng for hosting the infrastructure themed Wide Wednesday.
The extra (plovers I think) was taken on full tele. so apologies for poorish quality.
