Absorbing

Tbe lecture last night on picture frames was brilliant. An absorbing explanation of the skill and craft that went into creating frames for renaissance paintings. And so when I called in to the Dulwich Picture Gallery today I found I was looking at the frames and not the actual pictures.

Actually I had dropped in to see the new Harald Sohlberg show. I hadn't heard of him but it's a super exhibition and the pictures (and frames) are gorgeous - see them being admired in the extra.

But wouldn't it be nice to have the time to sit in the sun and read a page turner. This gent seems to have pulled it off and his dog is absorbed with what is going on in the park.
