Vessel!

Finally got myself out to the studio, it was -8C before i got the stove on....and it was starting to snow pretty heavily, but i was bound and determined to get myself out there today....i was getting a bit shacky whacky!!!!

Looking at this one on the computer makes me think i might be missing making pots....it has a very 'vessel' like feel to it!   not sure it's done, but i've gone as far as i can with it.

One of the extras is one of the largest i've tried so far with cold wax and oil 2' x 2'.   This is just the underpainting.....there will be many more layers to add.  it's still all so new to me, this way of creating a painting!!  the other extra is a small piece on paper, 9" x 12".

In other news....we still have frozen pipes and no water in the kitchen but my amazing and talented man Terry has figured out a solution, cos it seems like we have a pipe frozen under the house and that isn't an easy place to get at right now!  So i'll post more when he begins the creative solution to this problem!  In the meantime i'm schlopping pots of hot water from the bathroom to do some dishes!!!
