You want a real bird photo?

It was a glorious morning with a sharp frost hardening everything to brittleness. Ice crystals were everywhere and I snapped away merrily while taking Coorie the dog a walk in the field. She loved it and it was great knowing that she wasn't going to come home in extreme muddiness.

I returned with reddened cheeks and Corrie had her mouth wide open with her tongue slightly hanging out. I am sure it was that way around.

We passed the bird table where morning breakfast was being taken. Clearly, word had got round that there were photo opportunities to be had. Blue tits came back demanding a non-shaken replay. Sparrows played hard to get in that 'well, if you must' sort of way .....

However, the local robin was very up front. This natural poser was probably offended that I hadn't managed a shot. Clearly, there had been an oversight which needed to be rectified. So it positioned itself so it could not miss it and even hopped along so that the background better highlighted its grand features.

While I really don't like folks muscling in on a photo, I thought it best to get it out of the way.
