From the trough
It was exhilarating at Sandy Beach today. Forecast was 8 - 22 foot - same as on the north shore! The lifeguard I spoke to said more like 4-8 foot (Hawaiian), and another said some 15-footers had come thru, with a few 10 foot sets, you never know. There was white water from blowhole down to Alan Davies, waves were breaking pretty far out. It was a beautiful day. Of course, when I turned the corner going home, it was dark, grey, socked in and chucking down rain . . . only to turn sunny again by the time I reached home!
