Strange fur

Billy and I decided to take a walk in Pitmedden forest today. It has been freezing all day, below zero, and yet under the trees it felt damp and the leaves were brown with the exception of this fallen branch which appeared to be covered in bright white fur. It wasn't until I touched it and it melted instantly that i realised it was ice. Don't know what had caused it to form into hairs like this - it was almost like candyfloss.
