A birthday cartoon (and so true)

Today is my birthday and I've had a lovely day with lots of cards and presents.  F is very good at doing cartoons and this is the one that was in this year's card from him.  The picture relates to this blip when we spotted a grass snake but there was a bit of exaggeration on F's part as I don't remember him in the water with the snake!

We went for a pub lunch then a walk as the sun was shining, in fact it felt like springtime until the sun went in. We heard a woodpecker drumming and saw celandines - both firsts for the year. 

A nice relaxing evening beckons tonight and I shall probably have a glass of red and open the chocolates!
