That’s news to me
If the earth was as big as a football, how deep do you think the oceans would be?
2 thicknesses of newspaper would more than equal the average depth - So like wiping a football with a wet sponge.
The Mariana Trench, which in real life is about 12km deep, would be equivalent to the thickness of a flimsy business card.
On newspaper related news - you can repeatedly fold a sheet of broadsheet paper in half no more than eight times. If you could fold it 100 times the resulting thickness would equal the width of the Milky Way.
