Animal crackers

Raki has snatched  the vole that Nest just caught and is playing with its corpse. Nest isn't too bothered because although she's a good hunter she can't stomach raw food. Raki probably won't eat the vole, I just have to make sure she doesn't hide it in her bed or the armchair.

Today was like a foretaste of spring. I saw two ladybirds, a speedwell flower, a spotted woodpecker in the ash tree and enough young nettles to make a soup for my supper. Very nice it was.

Not such a good day for the vole.
