Impala

Day 1 of our time on safari.
We did see giraffes, wildebeest, waterbuck, hippos, elephants and other antelope species....but it rained and rained...this was the best shot of the day.
We are in an open topped Land Rover and are supplied with ponchos but after 2 1/2 hours we were all soaked through to the skin.
Spent a lot of the time protecting the camera, and was very reluctant to expose it to the elements.
Before I left Australia I mentioned that I didn’t want to see Africa and animals through the lens of a camera, and to try and just experience the adventure. Today was definitely one of those days.
