Hilbre Island

As it was a lovely bright afternoon and the tide was out, we decided to walk to Hilbre Island from West Kirby. Due to sinking sands you have to walk to Little Eye, round the back and then to Middle Eye and on to Hilbre Island.(See extra for photo taken on the way back). It took under an hour to get there but over an hour to get back as we were walking into the wind. This is taken from the far end of Hilbre Island, right by the old Lifeboat station. West Kirby is just visible on the horizon on the right hand side.
