I had to remove a black suspender belt from this battered old milestone stating 7 miles to Garstang. This view looks back to bridge number 39.

I took this snap on a cool brisk walk on a late lunch from work. The canal was well frozen in parts but the ducks didn't seem to mind. On my way back Runhills spotted me taking a photo and decided to give me a lift back to work. So only 45 minute lunch, Richard save me 15 minutes.
