This is Hockey?

Ice Hockey has three 20 minute periods with two 15 minute breaks between.  The ice gets renewed with the Zamboni machine and often there is some sort of entertainment.   Here in Las Vegas, the intermissions are not like anything you will find in any other arena.  Tonight we were treated to a taste of Cirque de Soleil's Zoomanity show.  The rest of the game, however, was a disappointment.  

I completely lost yesterday.  I had planned to get up and head out to the wetlands again. When I stepped out of bed every joint ached.  I thought I had overdone it the day before, but after I dropped my son at his office, I returned home and just went to bed.  I slept the entire day, and ultimately had a fever and what turned out to be an unpleasant GI virus.  

During the night it started to rain and it continued to pour rain all day, so much so that there was flash flooding on the roadways.  This was not what we expect to see in the Mojave desert. It was good in that it kept me at home and resting for another day.  By this evening, I rustled up enough energy to go to the game.
