Parrot for Pirate Day

It’s pirate day at school. She didn’t want to be a pirate so she chose to be a pirates parrot instead. Her teacher thought it was very funny. Some of the other kids were less understanding. But I was very proud of her because, despite crying twice from horrible children, she still said she was glad she went as a parrot and didn’t wish she’d just followed the crowd.

She was very upset with herself because we forgot about her times tables test this week and typically it was on the week that the table was 12s. She didn’t do very well and got told off (she is normally a full marks child) despite me having been told she wouldn’t get into trouble as they understand that sometimes life is just busy... sigh.

They watched Cool Runnings at school for end of the Caribbean project. Katie came out and said “mama there was swears!!!! At school!!”
