Camp Christmas decorations

These are the decorations on Belmont Street in Aberdeen and I think they are meant to represent - Hark the Herald Angels Sing - except the angels look as if they wearing high heels and a gold lame mini skirt. Not quite what you expect angels to wear but in this brave new world we live in you just never know. As long as you don't spend too much time studying the lights they look nice. Aberdeen first had Christmas lights in the winter of 1964 - they bought Glasgow's old ones. This was to give the population a little cheer after the typhoid outbreak from May-July 1964.
