Are You Sitting Comfortably?

Take a seat, any seat, and make yourselves
comfortable. Now winter is summer
it’s great. Climate change isn’t a bummer
if it means no snow or rain and involves

temperatures like this in February.
I saw schoolkids on the news protesting
about global warming. They were warning
us grown-ups about the future. Scary,

I know, but surely our esteemed leaders
must be taking the required action
to protect the planet? The kids’ reaction
is no surprise – they’re young, they’re dreamers,

but really, if something more needs doing,
the people who know best won’t be screwing
around with the lives of future generations.
They’ll be making plans? Taking precautions?
