Goldeneye #19

This morning I spent a couple of hours at Pennington Flash and managed to see a bird I've never seen before - a goldeneye - lovely looking birds. There were two males and 4 females on the mere, but they were quite far away and this has been heavily cropped as well. 
It seems like they are only breeding in Scotland but birds from northern Europe overwinter in large parts of the UK.
