Silly Saturday ....

The nice weather from yesterday continued today ....

Perfect weather to go up to the Plainfield Rail Trail to check on the resident Eastern Chipmunk.  We like to call him "our chippy" because we have been seeing him for a few years now.  Although the last time we saw him was January 1 so we were worried about him.  We have been up many times since the 1st and hadn't seen him .... although we saw evidence of his presence.   

So we were thrilled when R spotted him as we were walking back to the car!  Of course, this could be a female .... we simply don't know.

What we do know?  He/she is adorable in a silly sort of way!

I'm adding an extra from yesterday that I forgot to post then! Another silly squirrel wondering how is he supposed to eat that peanut!
