The Deep Winter Shadows

.... of thé Nant Valley where I cross country skied with a friend this morning so we would not encounter the start of the ski holiday crowds. Half of the tracks were so icy that I managed to do some spectacular wipe-outs, my pride hurting more than my rear end! There is certainly still plenty of snow here for the rest of the season (see extra, Claudine crossing the bridge).
