Sunday story

An afternoon appointment with Edith for a reflexology treatment, and the taxi dropped me near but not near enough in the quiet suburb that houses the Wellness Centre. So I stopped a young lad, about 14? and asked him if he knew where the place was.  In less than a second he was Googling the address on his phone, and began to escort me towards my destination. Several minutes later when he knew we were near but still couldn't see the place, he called the centre to double check.  It was only when we stood outside the centre that he was happy to leave me, after my heartfelt thank you. Apparently, today is "Random act of kindness" day, but I don't think he knew that. 

Later, I went to Akmerkez for a quick essentials grocery run, and walked home through busy Ulus in beautiful late afternoon sunshine, with gorgeous blue skies.
