Up and out for a cross-country run which was hard work- partly because of the headwind. Mild and sunny though.

Baby bro called round to borrow the jack and driveway to change the oil on his new old Honda.

I had plans to make my own Christmas cards last year and bought a (child’s?) linocut kit.

Missed the last post deadline by some months but decided to give it a go today. We have a friend who is a mad cat lady and Izzy provided inspiration by sitting in a box that was left open for two seconds.

It was a bit mind-bending going from an initial sketch to a stamp that was a mirror image as well as a negative. And the bit that you cut out ends up white on the finished image. Ended up using an app to reverse and negative-ise a picture to copy.

It’s quite hard to get a decent print. I did about 20 and this is a representative sample. Even the best have a homespun look to them!

But saved £2 on a card and that’s what counts.
