What a Weekend

Isobel, Stanley and I were meant to go to Crowborough to see Isobel's friend Mari for this weekend but we heard that Isobel's Aunty was very poorly and was nearing the end of her life, so we changed plans and headed North.

Unfortunately, after about 30 minutes into the journey we got a text saying that she had passed away.  After a rest to digest the news and a quick breakfast we adopted the original plan, turned round and headed South to see Mari.

We got there about 2pm and had a wander round Crowborough and a pub lunch and then checked into our hotel.

Today we headed for Eastbourne and had a walk along the seafront and the obligatory fish and chips before heading home again.

12 hours in the car this weekend, but it was worth it in the end.
