Painting painting painting

I am starting to love this colour. The old blue, which I had always thought was quite a vibrant one, just looks insipid as I paint over it. Two thirds of the room done - the tricky bit still to go.

Ulrich has decided now he is enjoying redundancy, he will just go round to friends houses and do DIY for them. We walked round the house and he made a list of everything he wants to repair - lots of things I hadn’t noticed or had learnt to live with - and is coming on Monday with his tools. It is extraordinarily generous and kind. He won’t accept any payment, so I’m going to think of another way to thank him and his lovely young family.
