I love winter!

Look at that, you don't get a view like that any other time of the year. I can't really do it justice - it stopped me in my tracks.

It's been a funny sort of day - flitting about and not really settling to anything. A lovely walk down to the post office at lunchtime and I bought my Secret Santa present on the way back - it's so nice to be part of a team :-) I also called into Leeds Cathedral for a look and a bit of peace, but there was a service on so I didn't linger. Instead I sat on the steps of the museum in the sunshine, watching people wander in and out of the German market. I walked through on the way back to work and it was very quiet. It must be quite demoralising to stand all day in the freezing cold with few customers, but everyone seemed in good (christmas) spirits.

Last Italian class before Christmas tonight, so everyone brought some food. We studied for an hour then chatted over nibbles, giggles and some quite delicious Christmas cake!

The only blot on the landscape was my driver side windscreen wiper, which has got tangled with the smaller wiper and broken for the second time in a week. The fitter did tell me last week that a lot of people have had the same problem, but it wasn't an issue for me until I had to get a replacement because the original broke on a frozen windscreen... Hey ho, back to Ford tomorrow - I think I'll buy two!
