The Cloud Forest, Monteverde

Another amazing day in Costa Rica.
This morning we visited the forest to view the canopy from the ‘hanging bridges’, a series of suspended cable bridges up to 50m above the ground. We enjoyed the company of our young guide who was very knowledgeable and we left full of info.Whether we will remember anything next week remains to be seen!
In the afternoon we returned to another part of the reserve on the hope of seeing and photographing the Resplendent Quetzal.
We were lucky as this male had started to excavate the nest hole close to the trail and the female was keeping a close eye on proceedings from a nearby branch.
Feeling very tired but very blessed tonight
