The next generation

Ms. P and her mom came to visit today. Ms P is one of Laurie's "former babies" whose cohort left in 2011, just before Ms. C's arrived. When we first met Ms. C, at about 3 months old, we were both struck by similarities to Ms. P in appearance and personality, and that's continued as she gets older.

We've been curious how they'd be together when they met. It took a while for Ms. P to overcome her shyness and for Ms. C to feel comfortable enough to interact; then they seemed like siblings, including conflicts over toys and space. Funny, it looks like Ms. C is doing the teaching.
