Curious giraffes
On today’s drive we came across a group of lions feeding on a wildebeest they had killed earlier in the day. ( So glad I was not there for the kill). As we watched a group ( or journey or tower) of giraffes arrived. Apparently they probably heard the snarling and growling and came to investigate. The guide and tracker said this was really unusual as the lions are their main predators and they usually keep their distance. They spent about 20 minutes watching the lions at some times getting quite close., eventually getting bored and slowly sauntering away. Quite a spectacle.
Sorry for lax commenting while I am away but the internet is hit and miss.
