Maspalomas - Gran Canaria

Two of our grandsons are racing each other up one of the stunning sand dunes. This scene is more like Western Sahara than European Spain. 8 years ago today these boys parents were married and it was lovely to celebrate that anniversary here today in a beach front restaurant. The sun was a pleasantly warm 22 degrees. The sea was surprisingly warm too. A lovely evening in, later, watching the twinkling lights of Las Palmas across the bay.
