Brrrrrlin
As lovely it is to experience Berlin in December; to take in the many Christmas Markets scattered through the City; to enjoy the warming gluhwein whilst stepping carefully through the snow; to marvel at the ribbon-wrapped buildings and sparking Christmas trees....it's bloody cold! To be fair, I never thought Berlin in December would be tropical but daytime temperatures of -5 and night temperatures of -9 when you like to walk your way through a city break is not for the faint-hearted.
Regardless, we managed to have a brilliant day, enjoying all of the above and then stumbling across Amrit, a quirky indian restaurant packed to the gunnels with Berliners. With amazing food and fabulous cocktails on the menu we decided here was the perefct place to thaw. And it was.
