“Fresh harvest”
Tuesday
We had an appointment in downtown Cincinnati this afternoon, so we decided to go early and have lunch out at a restaurant we’ve been wanting to try, Jean Robert’s table, a French restaurant as the name suggests. We had a delicious lunch with excellent service. The bread was about the best approximation to good French baguette as we’ve had over here. I thought the initial serving of bread was pretty small, but they refilled it as soon as they saw it was empty, and would have brought us more, but we thought we should decline! After lunch, we went for a bit of a walk around downtown. Just up the street from the restaurant is the Kroger headquarters (the largest US supermarket chain by revenue) and this mural, Fresh Harvest is adjacent. The 3D effect is wonderful. It was quite a cold day - I wished I’d had my gloves as we were walking around. We ‘re supposed to get a bit more snow overnight, but then the temperatures are supposed to start increasing almost immediately, so it won’t have any lasting effect.
