Sludge!

Been having trouble with the radiator in the downstairs loo...

First it was leaking, so we had it replaced just after we moved in earlier this year.

Then, when we switched the heating on for the winter, it wouldn't heat up. It was found that one of the valves was stuck 'off' even when it showed 'on', so we had the valves replaced.

It STILL wouldn't heat up.

The diagnosis was that one of the pipes feeding it was blocked and would need clearing or flushing through.

Last night the temperature in that room was 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house.... Brrrrrrr! Unsurprisingly we've been popping upstairs to the nice warm bathroom (also with a new radiator after leakages) when the need arises.

So, today, our plumber is back (people are going to start to talk - the number of days his van is parked on our driveway....).

This is the blockage... found and cleared... Bleugh, that's disgusting!

Fingers crossed for a warmer trip to the loo from tonight!!



EDIT:All is still warm, 24 hours later. Phew!
