The 'Flora MacDonald'

I was sorting out my knitting needle cache and came across this ancient packet for a four pin set of needles. I had not previously noticed the message about the 'Flora MacDonald' set in hardened and tempered steel if you needed something more sturdy.

In other news, we were gently awakened by the sound of scraping, shovelling and muttered oaths, which turned out to be half a dozen lads in high-viz jackets clearing the car back of compacted fallen leaves and litter. They must have started about 7 am to get ahead of all the daytime parking. It took them all morning. I was going to blip them but realised that they didn't have council logos, so may have been doing community service. They did a grand job, anyway!
