Northern Farm

Spent a great morning birding in this 2500ha nature reserve with its mixed grassland and forested areas , with plenty of water.
A good morning for raptors ( 5 species ), the highlight being the African Cuckoo Hawk.
A group total of 101 species recorded, my personal tally was 84.
We avoid birding the area over weekends as it is very popular with the MTB cycling fraternity.
