Bye bye Tornados...
Something a bit different today. I went over to the Imperial War Museum Duxford to see and photograph the RAF Tornado farewell flypast. These iconic Cold War (and warmer) warplanes are being retired by the RAF after 40 years of service. I certainly couldn't miss that. They came, flew past and were gone in about 10 seconds...
Tractor fans are catered for... A New Holland L60 and Massey Ferguson 575 attending a Curtiss Hawk make a nice group.
A Westland Wasp flew in and landed right in front of me. I flew in the Army version of this type Westland Scout 45 years ago in a previous (military) life...
Scramble - Paul Day 2005. The Battle of Britain Monument is located on The Embankment of the River Thames in London, opposite the London Eye. Scramble is a bronze showing a section of the sculpture from this monument and can be seen as part of the Battle of Britain display at the IWM.
