Interstate 20 headed west

We headed out to Abilene this afternoon for my uncle’s funeral. He passed away on Monday morning after just over a week in hospice. He had two heart transplants that gave him an extra 30 years, but he was worn out and ready to go. This evening is the visitation at the funeral home. The funeral is in the morning. He and Daddy knew each other from the time they were kids, long before he dared and then married my Aunt. He was a good man. Every time I saw him over the past decade or so he’d tell me how proud he was of me.

Just hope the kitty behaves while she has the house to herself!! I kinda imagine she’ll be up on the table and kitchen counters since no one is there to stop her!
