Nuts about Blue Tits

Topped up all the bird food in the feeder straight away early this morning, filled the nut feeder, put out another coconut shell filled with seed and peanut flour, sewed a few monkey nuts together and threw a few sultanas for the blackbird and robin: it was cold!! The chickens were clamouring for food, the ice on their water bowl was well frozen.

Everyone out there wanted everyone else's food. One chicken flew over the 7 foot high gateway to get to the sultanas and the robins started getting very aggressive with each other to the extent, with one of them on it's back losing the fight and in serious trouble, I went out and clapped my hands to break it up. The Blue Tits normally very equable started squabbling amongst each other, with the robin trying to get rid of them too!
I did try to get a few fight shots but it was very foggy and dim so they were a bit rubbish!

Heading out shopping - again - think more bird food is in order too but the price of it has risen startlingly over the past few years. A good job I love my birds! If only it was 'tuppence a bag'!
