Whiskers on Blue Jay

We had a slight layer of new snow, then frozen rain last night. It does make a bright backdrop for the brilliant blue of this whiskered and very saucy jay through the glass storm door. Blue Jay feathers in take off and flight, as seen in the heavily cropped extras, contain so many blue hues.

This day came in cloudy and cold with a layer of frozen snow.
