Dead or alive?

These are close to a small patch of wild land near Kendal which we call Pepper's Wood - because Pepper loves running here!

Two individual oak trees (presuming they were acorns at the same time?) but one dead and the other still alive.  This shows that trees have individual life patterns as do all living things.  

Pepper's recent close call confirms this simple premise.  

Pepper, so near death's door two weeks ago, is now fine and raring to go, so a walk around Pepper's Wood was called for - so excited was she that we went round twice!
