Roll call
Back to London today with B for the weekend.
Having checked in to the Union Jack Club and had a snack, we headed over to the Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace. There are two exhibitions, Russia, Royalty and the Romanovs, also Roger Fenton’s photographs of the Crimea, 1855. Both are fascinating for very different reasons and historical perspectives.
I was taken by the horse in this painting, it’s posture and expression spoke volumes.
We had planned to walk part way back to Waterloo, but spent much longer than expected at the gallery. Got the tube back for a rest, then staying in for dinner.
