Pussy Willow

There is rather a long story to this, which I will attempt to shorten.
Three weeks ago we gathered this and some more, during one of our walks. On the way back I put them behind the trolley shelter at the supermarket while we stocked up. Arrived home to realise that we had left them behind. A week later I retrieved them and stuck them in a snowbank outside the front door as a surprise for herself who was away for a few days. Eventually she brought them into the house where they produced this. Some of the other twigs have produced catkins.
Despite the lovely weather today I thought this would make an interesting shot to share. The outdoor shots are up on facebook.
